Key Takeaways
- A small artwork, approx. 10 cm, made from paper clay.
- I added flowers into the clay to give it texture.
- It can hang on the wall or stand in a dry spot.
The Map Pointer is a small artwork I made in my studio. It is about 10 cm and made from paper clay. It is shaped like the pointer you see on a map.
What is the Map Pointer made of?
It is made from paper clay. While I worked the clay, I added flowers into it. The flowers give the surface more texture and small spots of colour.
The white area of the artwork has small marks that give it an antique look. I left them as they are.
Where can the Map Pointer go in a home?
The artwork has a hanger on the back, so it can hang on the wall. It can also be placed on a shelf or another dry spot. Because it is small, it works well in a group with other pieces or on its own in a narrow space.
How do you take care of a paper clay artwork?
The Map Pointer is not water-resistant. Keep it away from damp or wet cloths. When you dust it, use only a dry cloth or a duster. It is handmade in Denmark by me, Lisa Ketty.
